My jaw drops every time Roger Federer returns a crushing serve at 130-140 mph to his opponent. For some, matching Bobby Jones's classic elegant swing is equivalent to reaching the epitome of sporting success. But calling tennis or golf or any other the hardest sport is debatable. I personally believe that running a marathon is the toughest sport out there.
Today the news came down he Verizon will sponsor a full time racing effort for Penske Racing with 2008 ARCA series champion driver Justin Allgaier. This follows an announcement by Rusty Wallace Inc. that they will field two full time team for drivers Brendan Gaughan and Steven Wallace. We all know that Hamlin, along with his other JGR teammates have dominated the nascar radio short tracks off late, but for some reason fail to capitalize on those performances. This is one of those facts that fantasy owners should keep in mind this week.
Our basic flight or fight mentality is manifested in sports. We can relate, on some deeper and unconscious level, with the guy running with the football towards the end zone and being chased by a pack of angry men. We can understand what it feels like to check another player in hockey and slam him into the boards. Or we can sympathize with the NASCAR racing driver who gets passed by a competitor, but throws it into a higher gear and chases after him.
Numerous shopping venues make up Towson including the popular Towson Town Center. Originally established in the 1960s as an open-air shopping mall, the structure rose to four stories and was deemed the largest mall in the state before the building of the Arundel Mills Mall in 2000. The four levels of the Towson Town Center consist of popular stores like: Macy's, Banana Republic, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Godiva Chocolates, Nordstrom, many jewelry dealers, numerous restaurants and food vendors, Raimondi's Florist and so much more. Special events at the mall are always scheduled. Family Fun Days are held every Friday at 10 a.m. from April 2 through December 31 on the Grand Court level 1.
Yes -- jewelry! Jewelry is becoming increasingly popular, in one form or another, among teenage guys. For rockers, tribal or beaded necklaces will be a hit. They might also like a stud or hoop earring. Preppy guys often like to wear fashionable rings or bracelets. If you aren't too sure about jewelry, try a watch. With such a wide variety of watch styles available, you'll be certain to find one to fit any teenage boy's taste.
Along with all of these teams running for the championship there will be a healthy dose of part timers running races here and there. What all of this news seems to suggest to me is that many race team are more and more willing to run teams in the Nationwide Series. Be that through the cost saving items NASCAR has built into that series or be it easier to find sponsors for this series.
